about

critolclear is a practice by Crystal Mah, making objects, meals and installations using stained glass, food, natural materials and waste.

Her practice is driven by creative resilience, the notion that, as citizens of a globalized urban ecosystem, we can sustain economies of care through activating existing skills and traditions within our collective identities. To navigate this, Crystal collaborates with spaces, people and other beings “human and non-human” to bring us back to nature in how we create, consume, care for ourselves while caring for others.

The process and work offers glimpses of a crystal clear vision, a better connection between us and the rest of the earth is not only possible, it’s already within reach, using what we already know and have.
